Hey there, I'm a longtime writer who made the jump into professional editing- what would the etiquette be for offering my services to the group?
:blowkiss: My goodness, thank you so much for including me in the list of Lit of the Week Winners -- what an awesome collection! :faint:
Hello, my name is of no importance. The only thing that should matter is what I write and if it's any good. Here are two examples as requested.

Hi, My name is Project Starconia, but you guys can call me Crystal, Crystalcia, Starconia, or Crimson. I am a very ambitious writer and have been writing for 13 years. Im the creator of three different series: Project Starconium, Star X, and Tempest. Like all writers and poets, i had been facing the challenge of becoming recognized in society. One of things i tried to do to get myself noticed was to created a literature series where people's comments would shape the future of the story and the future of the characters depicted in the story. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful and the series i attempted to make failed

(Note: This was the series called "Tempest". It was about a great war that had engulfed the city of Mombasa. in the midst of this war, a nuclear bomb named Tempest detonated and destroyed the city. Emerging from the fiery wreck of the remains of the war-torn city was a young man who's name i have forgotten. The story mainly focused on the detonation of the Tempest nuke and how the protagonist explored the remains of the city in a desperate search for civilization.).

At the time i wrote Tempest, i had also tried to write my first series, Project Starconium, several times. Even after writing the series several times, i failed to be recognized. Thus, i scrapped the series and tried once again.

Project Starconium was all based around the fact that human society was facing incredible problems. Although i didn't write about that sort of thing in the series, i showed the readers that the characters in my series lived in a most perfect society. Having equal rights and having all the freedoms you could ever wish for, the community depicted in Project Starconium was able to thrive harmoniously without conflict for many eons. The beings in the story were also immortal and for thousands of years, they spent their days studying all they could. Once these graduated from school many thousands of years later, they emerged entirely different people. People who's personality and perspectives of the world had changed dramatically. In the wake of this sudden change, the people of the planet in the story were able to contribute greatly to the world that they were a part of. And with this contribution, the beings were able to change the world for the better.

But, Project Starconium didn't just focus on that...

While I'm here in the group, i will be mainly writing about Project Starconium, so don't expect me to spoil to much about what the series will be about.

My second series was Star X, a story that had been secretly based on real life events. Although the events depicted in the story are most intense, I used my understanding of what was going on around me to build the foundation of my series.

In Star X (Note: I would actually change the name of the series at a later time.), the protagonists are assaulted when they are attending a government meeting called G20. Unaware at the lives that were at stake, the protagonists manage to fend off the insurgents only to awaken a far more powerful enemy. This new threat is an ancient enemy of the main character and eventually threatens the destruction of the entire planet.

So as you can see, I'm a very literate person and i have been trying very very hard to get recognized for what i am. I love literature and i love to write. Writing is my life and i am very uncertain what i would do if i ever got Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (its best you look it up. Im also a doctor so I'm kinda accustomed to such terms.). In other words, I am very uncertain as to what i would be doing if i were ever unable to write.

I do hope you accept me into your community of literature. I deserver to be praised for my hard work.
I'm sorry, but if you cannot be bothered to read our joining and submission guidelines clearly outlined on our front page then you will not be accepted into the group.

Moreover, you say that you are very literate, but you don't even use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You were extremely condescending in your second to last paragraph. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a very well know affliction. Even if you were to contract it, you would still be able to find ways to write. There are several very accurate diction-oriented programs for those who are disabled. I suggest you take a look into these programs if CTS worries you.

I hope that you can find what you are looking for elsewhere, and apologize again for not being able to give it here. Best of luck to you.
